Texsa Tecsound 50 je teška inertna vinilna masa koja je učinkovitija od punog olova kada se radi o zaustavljanju prolaza zvuka (transmisija). STC (Sound Transmission Class), is a numerical rating of how effective a material is at blocking the transmission of sound through itself. This rating generally applies to hard materials like rubberized sound barriers, concrete, brick and drywall but also applies to a much lesser degree to softer materials like mineral fiber (although it isn't tested by itself; it's tested as part of a wall system to verify its effectiveness). Virtually every material filters out some of the sound that travels through it, but dense materials are much better at this than are spongy materials.

Texsa Tecsound lends itself to all types of normal building substrates (gypsum board, metal, DM, plastics). The substrate must be even, smooth, clean and dry. It must also be free from elements that could damage the membrane. If the construction is old, its condition must be checked to avoid adherence problems of the Texsa Tecsound to surface.
Installation of the membrane: Prior to installing the membrane, an adhesive must be applied to both substrate and membrane, and left to dry according to the instructions of the adhesive manufacturer before bonding the two surfaces. Pressure must be exerted on all the points to ensure correct adhesion. It can also be installed mechanically. The number of fixings will depend on the product, the support and the system where the membrane will be applied. Mechanical fixings must be chosen which will not tear the membrane and which will insure a good air seal to maximize the soundproofing performance. Use of silicone over the fastener is recommended.
Installation of the membrane on metal decks: Extend the roll over the substrate progressively, trying to keep the fleece on the upper side so it protects the membrane. The membrane must be applied in such a way that the length of the roll is perpendicular to the direction of the deck profile. The membrane must be made to follow the profile of the metal support at all times, ensuring that there is no formation of air pockets. The thermal insulation boards are then installed and mechanically fastened.
Overlaps: Overlap 5 cm both vertically and horizontally. Care must be taken to always seal the overlaps correctly, as small openings can reduce the level of acoustic insulation achieved.
Yield: 1m² of membrane covers approximately 0.90 m² of surface area, including overlaps.
